Introducing Jessie!

Hey I’m Jessie. Owner of Big Love Elopements and Celebrant to The Lovers. I’m here to help create your perfect elopement and bring it to life. Alongside me are a team of awesome elopement professionals, hand selected to make your experience incredible and we can’t wait to be part of your awesome day. Here’s a little guide on how it works.

How it all began

Back in 2018, mates Jake and Jessie caught up over a coffee (why it was not a cocktail we have no idea) because they had an idea! They wanted to nut out a way of providing relaxed, fun and stress free weddings to couples who weren’t looking for all the bells and whistles of a big wedding. They realised that so many couples these days had already started a family, or building a house or saving for something big and the idea of spending an exorbitant amount of $$$ on one day was seeing them put plans on hold or running for the registry office.

So over the course of the next year they concentrated on creating the freshest, juiciest, first of it’s kind elopement experience Geelong has ever seen, and voila!

Big Love Elopements was born!

They kickstarted their biz with our classic 2 Hour package which is still the most favoured flavour to date, and from there they built on that dream and expanded their empire to create elopement experiences to suit every couple. And because we need more brightness and positive energy in our lives, they’ve since added Ruby, Cal, Zena, Jemma, Chloe, Verity, Rach and Erin to the team. They are the bomb!

The team would like to thank Jake for creating the most amazing elopement experiences for so many Big Love couples and we know the good vibes will keep on rolling as Jessie takes the reigns.

Celebrants

Our celebrants Jessie, Jemma, Zena and Chloe have the experience, charisma and professionalism required to make your elopement truly amazing.

As some of Geelong’s finest wedding pros, these legends bring all the good vibes and relaxed feels to your day. They have a knack of putting everyone at ease, and doing it all with a smile on their face and a laugh at the ready.

Photographers

Our photographers, Verity and Rachael, bring the perfect balance between candidly capturing your day as it unfolds whilst providing enough instruction throughout so that you feel comfortable in all of your photos. Firm believers that your day is too important to bring any awkward BS into the fold. No forced 80’s prom photos here; these two will have you laughing and enjoying your time in front of the camera, so that you enjoy your elopement photos for the rest of your life.

Videography

Our videographer Ruby is the perfect addition to your captured memories. Your wedding day won’t be slow-paced and boring, so neither should your wedding film be!

Your day is all about you two celebrating your love and having the best time ever; that’s the magic Ruby loves to capture!

When you watch your film we want you to laugh, cry, get goosebumps and feel all those feels.

Live music

Cal Young is Geelong’s superstar wedding muso KING. Cal’s favorite kind of gig involves stripping it all back, to guitar & vocals and a nice battery powered speaker and heading to a forest, beach, mountain top or anywhere picturesque. There’s just something about live music which really adds a special layer to any celebration.

Florist

Erin is our incredible floral stylist and is the powerhouse behind Florette. Erin is a true artist when it comes to floristry and styling, she is always one step ahead of the latest wedding trends and is passionate about bringing every couple’s vision to life. She is an awesome human to hang out with too, so lucky us!

Mobile Bar

Meet Dani, owner of Boutique Event Co, hands down the best mobile bar company in Geelong! Dani and her team have been serving up delicious cocktails and wines to our Big Love couples for quite a few years now and trust us when we say that having a dedicated person to shake and serve drinks at your elopement, will bring the vibe to the next level. Go on, treat yourselves!

Grazing Boxes

We are so thrilled to have Stacey from Platter Co. on board to lovingly curate grazing boxes specifically tailored to our Big Love couples. From a platter for just the two of you, right up to our micro-wedding style events, Platter Co will bring the cheese! Every graze Stacey creates is stunning, plentiful and delicious. They are built around premium local and imported produce, styled with care, and tailored to each elopement to ensure a truly memorable experience.

Cake

Meet Georgia from Giggles Bakery. She’s the smiling face behind the oven, the one who’s been whisking and mixing since she could barely reach the countertop and while she’s spent the last 5 years honing her skills as a pastry chef in local patisseries her true passion has always been cakes, putting her heart and soul into every one. And we are so lucky to have her bring some sweetness to our team!

Hair and Makeup

Meet Jess from Crew Faced Makeup Artistry. She is our go-to hair and makeup artist for our wonderful elopement couples. Whether it’s just you getting ready and wanting to feel a bit special ,or you and your besties needing a glam up on your special day, Jess will be there with excitement as well as a wonderfully calming energy everyone needs on their elopement day.
